Leroy Bradford Carn Obituary

In loving memory of Leroy Bradford Carn, who earned his wings on November 13, 2023, at Atrium Health Carolina Medical Centers in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on August 27, 1974, in Orangeburg, SC, Leroy was the cherished youngest son of Patricia Glover-Carn and the late Lawrence Carn, Jr. Leroy was raised, surrounded by the love of his four older brothers, two of which lived in the St. Mark Community of St. George, SC, with him. Leroy was the baby of the bunch. His brothers are Tony Glover (Val), Reginald Johnson (deceased), Myron Carn (Tonya), Andrew Carn (Natisha).

In 1992, Leroy graduated from St. George High School and subsequently earned an Associate's Degree, in Information Technology, from Columbia Junior College, in 1995.

A devoted family man, Leroy found his true love in Tonya Maultsby, whom he married and shared a beautiful journey with. Leroy's love story with Tonya was nothing short of magical.

Spotting the woman, he knew was meant for him, Leroy pursued Tonya with determination until he won her heart. Together, they built a life filled with love, commitment, and shared dreams.

Leroy, a passionate football enthusiast and unwavering Commander's fan, inherited his love for sports from his father, (Jr. Carn). Weekends were reserved for being at home with his family and watching games, a tradition he held dear. Leroy leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, survived by his beloved wife Tonya Maultsby-Carn, whom he shared his life with since they were both 21 years old. His memory lives on through his son Sean who he affectionately called "J" and daughter Peyton, the apple of his eye, a testament to the enduring impact of his love and guidance. Leroy also leaves to mourn, on his maternal side, his Grandmother, Avon King. Maternal Aunts and Uncles: Rita Reid, Marsha (Jimmie) Strong, Robert King, III and Christopher King. Paternal Aunts and Uncles: Thomasena Jackson, Barbara Berry, Wilson Carn, and Bettie (Issaac) Addison. His In-Laws: Mitchell and Thelma Purdie (Mother and Father-in-law), Teresa Maultsby (Sister-in-Law), Fredrick Maultsby (Brother-in-law), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

May Leroy rest in peace, forever remembered in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness, passion, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
