He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob "Jake" Mauney and Grace Sifford Mauney; his grandparents, Wesley and Naomi Mauney; his wife Mamie Lee; and his siblings, Geneva Mauney Stowe (Grier), Evelyn Mauney Herron (Eddie) and Jacob Ward Mauney.

He is survived by: his children, Patricia Grace Mauney, Leonard Jacob Mauney (Connie) and Bridget Mauney Kearns (Thomas); his grandchildren, Carla Mauney, Landon Mauney, Monica Mauney, Thomas Kearns, Jr., Elliott Kearns and Felicia Fluid; his great grandchildren, Taylor Fluid and Hazel Elizabeth Thomas; and his nieces and nephews, Graham Watt, Melvin Watt, Grier Stowe II, Reginald Mauney, Carrol Stowe, Doris Stowe Moore and Jean Stowe Humphrey. He is also survived by great-great-nieces and -nephews, cousins and dear friends.
