With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Sterling McAlpine of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on December 12, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George McAlpine and Jenny Johnson McAlpine; and his great-grandparent Jenny Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah McAlpine Miranda (George IV) of Charlotte, NC, Laney Llewellyn (Henley) of Charlotte, NC, Magdalynn McAlpine of Charlotte, NC, Heather McAlpine Ray (Cole) of Belmont, NC and Jessica Dimmer (Cameron) of Belmont, NC.; his grandchildren, George Miranda IV, Penelope Miranda, Henley Llewellyn, Boxley Llewellyn, Cole Haller, Kendall Robbins, Kara Robbins and Cameron Martin; his sister Valerie McAlpine Kokenes; his niece Stephanie Kokenes Tsahakis; and his former wife Lynn McAlpine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Levine & Dickson Hospice House or the Alcoholics Anonymous Foundation.
