He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Dicus and Mary Irene Dicus; and his brother James Dicus. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his son Jeffrey Dicus; his former spouse Christy; his granddaughter Savannah; his son Gregory Dicus; his sister Ruth Vercelli; his nephew Jason Vercelli; his great-niece Kasiah Vercelli; and his sister-in-law Nell Dicus.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stephenson & Gaskin Funeral Services (14617 Lawyers Rd, Matthews, NC 28104). A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Avery's Creek United Methodist (874 Glenn Bridge Rd SE, Arden, NC 28704).
