He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel Joseph V. Sheldon, Sr. and Dorothy Barwald Sheldon. He is survived by: his wife Martha Sheldon (McCall); his sons, Joseph Victor Sheldon, III and Wilson Scarborough Sheldon; and his sister Georgia.
