He was predeceased by: his sisters, Margaret and Anna. He is survived by: his wife Linda Dumizo; his children, Tohlei Dumizo of Tacumseh, MO, Na'ye Dumizo of Charlotte, NC and Maribel; his son-in-law Etengeneng Ebob; his daughter Margaret Kunwi Dumizo of Charlotte, NC; his stepchildren, Brian LaBombard (Dahiana Baez) of Charlotte, NC and Kimberly LaBombard (Anthony Gandy) of Raleigh, NC; his brother Sam Dumizo of Cameroon; and his grandchildren, Diana, Emily, Othniel Ebob, Nathaniel Fahnwi Dumizo and Victoria Fauziya Dauda. He is also survived by relatives and dear friends.
