He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stephen Cliff and Rosa Lucia Polite (Ippolito); his former wife Mary Lou Danna Polite; his children, Lori Marie Polite of Charlotte, Stephen Anthony Polite (Tracy) of Charlotte, Stacie Polite Levi (Michael) of Charlotte and Joseph Frank Polite, Jr. (Terah) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Taylor Polite, Ryan Polite (Madison), Sam Burke, Allie Levi, Mary-Kirwin Polite, Cecilia Polite and Joseph Frank Polite, III; his wife Linda; and his stepchildren, Casey, Joe Callahan, Meredith, Caroline and Cooper Meek. He was also cherished by loving father and grandfather to his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church for either: Monsignor McSweeney World Hunger Drive (designate 'Polite Memorial/MMWHD') to help combat world hunger, or HOM Ministry (designate 'Polite memorial/HOM') to assist with furniture collection and distribution for those in need.
