He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Gladys and Cole Greene; his siblings, James Frank Leake, Dorothy Malinda Leake and Lawanda Denise McGill; and his children, Eugene Anderson, Sheila Strickland, Rosaland Moses and Reginald Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Brewer Anderson; his daughters, Dianna Anderson Davis (William) and Mary Fallie McCoy (Tony); his stepson David Fallie (Cheryl); his brothers, Ronnie Leake and Rudolph McGill; and his grandchildren, Mitchell Moses III (Jennifer), Destiny Anderson, Laquetta Strickland, Rea Davis, Renita Pough, Elizabeth Davis, William Davis, Lauren McKoy, TJ McKoy, David Alexander, Octravius Alexander, LaQuasha Fallie, DeAsia Fallie and Adarius Lytch. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Little Rock AME Zion Church (401 N McDowell St, Charlotte, NC 28204). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
