He is survived by: his close friend Julia Wingate; his children, Regina Cook of Charlotte, Jeffrey Wingate of Charlotte, NC, James Houston, Johnnie Parker Evans of Pageland and Angela Parker of Columbia; and his stepchildren, Twain Floyd, Rochelle Wingate, Gwen Neil and Howard Neil. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and, nephews.
