She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Hamilton and Mary Emma Ballantine; her husband Jesse Leonard Farris, Jr.; her brothers, James Henry Ballantine and Henry Hamilton "Hammie"; her nephew John Ballantine; and her stepsister Marcie Ann Sherill.
She is survived by: her children, Len Farris (Laurie) of Laconia, NH, Michael Farris (Annie) of Matthews, NC and Jacque Creech (Will) of Mooresville, NC; her grandchildren, Taylor Farris, Drew Farris, Jessica Dangar (Noah), Madeline Farris, Hannah Creech and Lily Farris; her sister Sue Smith (Ed); and her stepbrother Jerry Dilsaver (Donna).
