He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Unger and Mahlon D. Unger; and his brother William "Bill" Unger. He is survived by: his wife Bettie Reynolds Unger; and his children, Karen E. Luke (Chris) of Mint Hill, Debbie Engle of Pennsylvania and David Unger of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
