He is survived by: his wife Katrin Ebert Schultze; his sons, Alexander Eckart Schultze of Nashville and Nicholas Eckart Schultze of Nashville; his siblings, Michele Schultze of Charlotte, Stephan Schultze (Lori) of Lynchburg and Mike Schultze (Susan) of Charlotte; his mother-in-law Regina Ebert (late Bernd Ebert) of Charlotte; and his brothers-in-law, Holger Ebert (Beth) of Charlotte and Andy Ebert (Robin) of Charlotte. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
