He is survived by: his children, Debra Hamm (Michael) of Waxhaw, NC, John (Amanda) of Arlington, VA and Deanna of Charlotte, NC; his sister Connie Weaver Seals of Tampa, FL.; his grandchildren, Robert Hamm (Corrie) of Monroe, NC, Renee McNeil (Dustin) of Holly Springs, NC, David Hamm (Julia) of Waxhaw, NC, Derrick Hamm (Emily) of Cummings, GA, Dexter, Katie and Delaney Weaver of Arlington, VA.; his great grandchildren, Devin (Madison), David, Adian, Cooper, Tahla, Emily, Levi, Bryston, Caleb, Eliza and Clara; and his father John Weaver.
In lieu of flowers, those who are inclined are encouraged to make a Memorial Gift to the National Park Service Foundation, where John loved to vacation with his family.
