Joan Cooper Sigmon Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Cooper Sigmon of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Bakersfield, California, who passed away on September 14, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Arnold Cooper and Isabelle "Nellie" Cooper; and her sister Janet Cooper. She is survived by: her sons, John (Danielle Sigmon) of Branchport, NY, Douglas Sigmon (Amy Davern) of Charlotte, NC and Michael Sigmon (Melanie) of Charlotte, NC; her brothers, John Cooper of Florida and Bill Cooper (Linda) of Lincolnton, NC; her nieces and nephews, Jay Cooper (Sarah) of West Virginia, Allison Cooper Teague (Bryan), Sherry Cannon Cooper and Charles (Sherry Cooper); her grandsons, John Michael Sigmon and Bradley Wilson Sigmon (Kimmie Dobson) of Matthews, NC; her great grandchildren, Aaron Dobson and Nyla Sigmon; her former husband Paul Andrew Sigmon; and her daughter-in-law Carmen Speas Sigmon.
