He is survived by: his wife Nancy Clifton Honeycutt; his sisters, Frances B. Gibson and Betty B. Stewart (Lee); his children, James G. Buchanan of Kennewick, WA and Leta L. Buchanan (Stephen) of Greenville, SC; his stepsons, John B. Honeycutt (Emily) of Raleigh, NC, Thomas C. Honeycutt of Charlotte, NC and Michael E. Honeycutt of Castle Hayne, NC; and his grandchildren, William Buchanan Jr., Zachary Buchanan, Garrett Buchanan, Matthew Bailey, Elizabeth Honeycutt, Olivia Honeycutt and Michael J. Honeycutt. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, and/or Avondale Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC.
