She was predeceased by: her parents, George Benjamin Sheppe and Mollie Keister Sheppe; her former husband Pirrung, Jr.; her daughter Ann P. Surratt; and her siblings, George B. "Jeep" Sheppe, Jr. and Rosalie V. Sheppe.
She is survived by: her husband Charlie; her children, Susan J. Pirrung and J. Stuart Pirrung, II (Kathy); her grandchildren, Robert G. Surratt (Hilarie), Jennifer S. Taylor (Paul), John S. "Jack" Pirrung, III and Christopher J. Hand Pirrung (Katie Rose); her great grandchildren, Jordan Ann S. Burd (Justin) and Olivia J. Taylor; and her great great grandchild Mason Burd.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Christ United Methodist Church (410 N Holden Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410). A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
