He is survived by: his mother Lizzie Sanders Smith; his wife Martha Simmons Smith; his children, Tamisha Ajose (Jonathan) of Statesville, NC, Chambrelle Caldwell (Brandon) and Joshua Smith of Austin Texas; his grandchildren, Brooklyn Ajose, London Ajose and Kameron Johnson; his siblings, Johnnie Mae Smith of Hampton, VA, Asia Watts of Charlotte, NC, Danny Sanders of Charlotte, NC and Robert McClure of Chester, SC; and his siblings-in-law, Roxie Bradshaw (Fred), Peggy Samuels (David), Brenda Simmons, Wendy Simmons (Ron), Paulette Simmons and Bruce Simmons. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
