He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Vickery and Lewis Morgan Bennett; his significant other Judy; his brothers, Lewis Morgan Bennett (Sunny) and Van Michael Bennett (Mickey); and his son-in-law Kurtis Robert Kitterman.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Bennett Kitterman and William Brandt Bennett (Anita); and his grandsons, Robert Bennett Kitterman and Wesley Gray Bennett. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins.
