He is survived by: his wife Wilma Crates; his siblings, Tommy Crates (Barbara), Martha Crates Thorne and Kathleen Crates Miner (Rick); his children, Cindy Crates Mankin and Mike Crates; his children-in-law, Robert Mankin and Lorie Crates; and his grandchildren, Pierson Hargett and Jameson Crates.
