He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Kurszewski); his children, Stephan J. (Lynda) of Millersville, MD, Mary K. Avina (Robert) of Tucson, AZ, Barbara A. Bingham (Thomas) of Urbana, IL, Elizabeth M. Wittig of Independence, MO and Mark J. Wittig (Shannon) of Weddington, NC; his grandchildren, Samuel, Caleb, Amelia Wittig, Lucas Schneider, Ethan, Jacob and Owen Wittig; his brother David; and his siblings-in-law, Bonita Stadler (Jerry), Mary Ellenberger (Ray), Betsy Biebel and Martin Biebel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John Newman Catholic Church in James Wittig's name , or a charity of the donor's choice.
