It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Richard Delahunty of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Delahunty and Edna Delahunty; his daughter Kristine Brindley; and his siblings, Carl Delahunty (Rosemary), Connie Myers and Barb Carlson (Paul Carlson).

He is survived by: his wife Suellen Clarkson Delahunty; his children, Michael Delahunty (Kathy) of Sherrills Ford, NC and Kelly Ray of Fort Mill, SC; his son-in-law Tim Brindley of Fort Mill, SC; his stepsons, Burt Welch (Tammie) of Fort Mill, SC and Bart Welch (Vicki) of Clover, SC.; and his grandchildren, Kacey Brindley, Addison Delahunty, Garrett Ray, Peyton Ray, Caroline Welch, Thomas Welch and Karli Welch.
