She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Allen McElrath, Sr.; and her cousins, George Gainer, Gaylord Lorton and Carlyle Hale. She is survived by: her children, Richard Allen McElrath, Jr. and Lori McElrath; her grandchildren, Jada McElrath and Reshard McElrath (Quamisha McElrath); her great grandchild Zaid McElrath; her brother Fred Birkes; her nieces, Angela Birkes and Denitra Birkes; her great-nephew Joshua Clemons; and her great-nieces, Zy'anah Marion-Elizabeth Birkes and Aniah Jade Cole.
