Though Huyen Mong Thi may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her husband Tan Ngoc Nguyen; her children, Thinh, Diem and Jimmy Nguyen; her grandchildren, Teagan and Elise Nguyen; and her daughters, Gemma and Sofia Chang.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Tribute & Tallent Funerals & Cremations (1937 N Sharon Amity Rd, Charlotte, NC 28205). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Gabriel Church (3016 Providence Rd, Charlotte, NC 28211).
In lieu of flowers and monetary gifts, the surviving family respects Huyen's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in association with Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer in Carthage, Missouri. In remembrance of Huyen's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made in honor of Huyen Le (Baptismal name: Saint Rosalia).
