She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah Adams Shaw and James Stanley Shaw; her husband William G. Brown, Sr.; and her son William Garrison Brown, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Shaw Brown; and her grandchildren, Caroline Grace Gunning (Joe) and Joseph Smith Whisonant, III.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (700 W 6th St, Charlotte, NC 28202).
