It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Funderburk Kerr of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emsley Funderburk and Beulah Funderburk; and her husband Harvey C. Kerr. She is survived by: her children, Lynn K. Waldrop (Barry), Harvey C. "Chip" Kerr, Jr. (Janet), Thomas H. Kerr and Gwendolyn "Wendy" Byrne (Kevin); her grandchildren, Amy Canupp (Brian), Ashley Kerr, Craig Kerr (Kate), Lauren Byrne, Cameron Byrne (Mia) and Lindsay Byrne; her great grandchildren, Drew Canupp, Avery Canupp, Jane Kerr and Cassidy Kerr; and her sister Rebecca Smith (Bill). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
