He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nick George Vlahos and Katherine Plakias Vlahos; his son Nicholaos; his daughter-in-law Lee Vlahos; his grandson George; his sister Helen (John Bakos) of Charlotte; and his nieces and nephews, Katherine Cestrone of Charlotte, Renee Keretses of Waxhaw, John Pappas of Apex, NC, Alex Pappas of Greenville, NC and Richard Pappas of Huntersville, NC. He was also cherished by five beautiful goddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Charlotte.
