He was predeceased by: his parents, David Young Redman and Addie Bell Gardner Redman; and his siblings, John D. Redman, William Redman, Charles Redman and Cora Redman.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Link Redman; his children, Johnny Redman (Cindy) of Cleveland, NC and Kelly Redman Butterfield (Kip) of Cleveland, NC; his siblings, Iva Gaines of Hampton, VA and Samuel Redman of Mocksville; his sister-in-law Judy M. Redman of Cleveland; and his grandchildren, Megan Wilhelm (Hunter Brooks), Jennifer Roman (Chris), Johnny R. Redman (Maghon), Cody Wilhelm (Tabitha Stricklin), Brandon Redman, Beau Butterfield and Matt Kale. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
