With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Alan Blackwelder of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on December 23, 2023 at the age of 51. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Sheryn Lynnette Knight. He is survived by: his father Millard Blackwelder; his brothers, Marty Gibson (Kim) and Stephen Blackwelder (Cami); his nieces, Kelsie and Kate; his nephew Evan; his friends, John Wilson and Sherry Haigler Buttery; and his pet Lacey.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorials to be sent to the Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County.
