He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jack and Diane. He is survived by: his wife Mary R. McGowen; his children, Michelle Williams (Dale) and Fred "Bookie" McGowen III; his grandchildren, Jessica Cooper, Brandon Cooper (Harley), Heather Douglas (Evan) and Benjamin McGowen; his sister Phyllis O'Shields; and his stepchildren, Renee, George and Melissa. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
