He is survived by: his sister Margaret Tyson (Peggy) of Charlotte; his son Erwin Stowe Smith III (Lynne) of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Shannon Kirby (Doug) of Lexington, SC, Garrett (Thais) of Charleston and Ryan (Lydia) of Anderson, SC; his daughter Susan Laurie Ledford (Mike) of Waxhaw, SC; and his grandchildren, Josh (Kenzie) of Rock Hill, SC and Katelyn Rapp (Matt) of Waxhaw, NC.. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
