She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Stevens Howie, Jr. and Elizabeth Stewart Howie; her brother Samuel Stevens Howie III; her sister-in-law Carol Gordon Gallagher; and her nephew Christopher Ryan Howie.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Paisley Gordon, Sr.; her sons, C. Paisley Gordon, Jr. (Libby) and H. Scott Gordon II (Kim); her grandchildren, Paisley III, Bowen, Tripp and Beasley; her sister Jane Howie Thomas (Wailes); and her nieces and nephews, Blair Nodine (Rick), Porter Young (Vance), Beth Maroules (Efrem), Ali Hoce (Kelly), Sam Howie IV (Susan) and Ben Gallagher (Michelle). She is also survived by 14 great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church (1412 Providence Rd, Charlotte, NC 28207). A reception was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, Memory & Movement, Good Friends, Hospice, or a favorite charity of choice.
