She was predeceased by: her husband Xenophon J. Koinis (Xenny); her siblings, William Veronie, Pete Veronie, James Veronie, John Veronie, Catherine Stathulis, Ann Slee and Evangeline Sares; her nephew Don Stathulis; and her niece Connie Mynihan.
She is survived by: her children, Sophia Koinis Hazlehurst (Yates) of Charlotte, NC and Theodore X. Koinis (Pauline) of Pearland, TX; her grandchildren, Catherine Whittaker (Jeff), Sarah Poole (Gregory), Anastasia Milanese (Matthew), James Koinis (Valerie), Nicholas Koinis, April Roberts (David), Richard Hazlehurst (MyLy) and John Hazlehurst (Cheryl); her great grandchildren, Hazel, Emma, Margot, Louise, Yates, Hugh, Luke, Artemis, Michael, Vivian, William and Theodore; and her brother-in-law William Koinis. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, Charlotte, NC, or Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Toledo.
