She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Blackwell and Dorothy Hearn; her stepfather Ellison Hearn; and her siblings, Stanley, Reginald Hearn (Miko) and Ernestine Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Light (John) and Emmanuel Choice (Carolyn); her brother David Blackwell Ellison J. (Robin); her nephews, D. Keith Stubblefield and Kevin Blackwell; and her niece Lauren Blackwell (Jameson).
