As Dennis departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dennis may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dennis leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Joel and Bell Saxton Joel; his wife Lizzie Mae Streeter Joel; and his son Danquirs Franklin. He is survived by: his children, Dennis Streeter, Reginald Joel and Audrey Joel Brice (Larry); his sister Sadie Mae Joel (Joe) of Charlotte, NC; and his close friend Deborah Ann Franklin. He is also survived by nephews and nieces whom he loved like his own children; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
