It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clayton Melvin Shelswell (Charlotte, North Carolina), born in Freeland, Michigan, who passed away on July 20, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Shelswell and Gertrude Parkin Shelswell; and his son Clayton Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Frances Doran Shelswell; his children, Nancy Kennard (George) of Southport, NC, Katheryn Shelswell of Charlotte, NC, Florence Shelswell of Charlotte, NC and Robert Shelswell (Barbara) of Wyoming, MI; and his grandson Scott Shelswell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
