She was predeceased by: her husband John Melchior Neilson; her parents, Macy Langston and Sadie Langston; her daughter Kathleen Neilson; and her sisters, Margaret Dull and Maxine Carter.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Margaret Bishop; her son-in-law David Bishop; her grandchildren, Sarah Bishop Bernlohr (Blake), Alex Bishop and Catherine Bishop Carrier (Conner); and her great grandchild Sawyer Bernlohr.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (6828 Old Reid Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210).
