With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bobby Hargett of Charlotte, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Pauline Schenck Hargett and Charlie Smith Hargett; and his sister Joann Hastings. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Freeman Hargett; his sons, Jeffery Dale Hargett of Charlotte, Stephen Ray Hargett (DeLaine) of Charlotte and Robin Alan Hargett (Arleen) of Belmont; his grandchildren, Nichole Hargett, Kurtis Hargett, Jessica Hargett Anderson (Joshua) and Joshua Hargett; his great grandchildren, Katie Joy and Henry; and his siblings, Nancy Fogle, Rachel Morrow (Warren) and Edward Hargett (Phyllis).

“My heart is so sad to heard about the passing of Mr. Bobby. I had personally never laid eyes on Mr. Bobby. However, I felt like I really knew him! My Company had the privilege of supplying pine needles to Mr. Bobby and Mrs. Joyce for so many years. I always looked forward to hearing his voice and talking with him.
