He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred William Rogers Sr. and Ila Plyler Rogers; his brother Fred William Rogers Jr.; and his niece Sandy Rogers Jetton. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ayers Rogers; his daughters, Debbie Durham (Glen) and Deana Yergeau (David Sr.); his grandchildren, Michael Durham (Kayla), David Yergeau Jr. (Kristen Taylor), Jennifer Cater (Chad) and Rebecca Yergeau (Jarrett Davis); his great grandchildren, Addilyn, Lilly and Isla Durham; and his nieces and nephews, Susan Price, Emily Bernhardt (Williams), Eddie Ayers (Vicky), Chris Ayers (Karla) and Craig Rogers.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McEwen Funeral Home-Derita Chapel (6300 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens (1504 W Sugar Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262).
