She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Rankin and Irene Wright Rankin; her great-grandparent Tyrel; her grandparents, Liam Jackson Ford, Aaron Alexander Dobson and Nyla Marie Sigmon; her husband Edwin Roi Ford; her grandson Tyrel Sharod Ford; her sisters, Irene Rankin and Edith Rankin; her sister-in-law Glennie Padmore; and her niece Sonia Payne Andrews.
She is survived by: her children, Allison Ford, Wayne Ford, Yolanda Ford Laine (Pete), Susan Ford and Pete Ford; her grandchildren, Yamina Monet Ford, Kimmie Amant Dobson, Cheikh Wade, Khassim Wade, Gloria Irene Ford, Sidney Ford and Shayna Lisa Ford; her nieces, Sandy Bowen and Gloria Baker; and her friend Franklin Blvd of Gastonia, NC.
