It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Athleen McElwee of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Russell and Nettie Harrelson McElwee. She is survived by: her siblings, John Russell McElwee III (Anne) of Matthews and Mary Catherine McElwee Andrews (Grady) of Pelham, AL.; and her pets, Samantha and Teeny. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
