He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Sparr and Jean Sparr; his wife Joan Kehrt; and his brother Tony. He is survived by: his sons, Brian Sparr (Lori Chamberlain) of Jacksonville, FL and Kenneth Sparr (Melissa) of Concord; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Rheel, Carter Sparr and Casey Sparr.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the James Funeral Home (10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
