With solemn reverence, we commemorate Alice Mae Porterfield Maddox (Charlotte, North Carolina), born in Grove City, Pennsylvania, whose life came to an end on September 8, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Thompson and Daryl John Porterfield; her brother David Thompson Porterfield; and her husband Kenneth P. Maddox, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, David George Algire (Nancy) of Aiken, SC and Sheryl Lynn Algire Beaver (Mike) of Charlotte; her grandsons, Adam Michael Beaver (Christine), John Thompson Beaver (Abby), David Henry Algire and Olin Watson Algire; and her great grandchildren, Palmer and Frances Beaver.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (http://www.stjude.org.), one of Alice's favorite charities.
