He was predeceased by: his parents, James Moses and Artie Mae Davis; and his brothers, James E. Davis, Jasper Davis and Cedric B. Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Angela S. Davis; his children, Tarita V. Davis-Martin (Roosevelt), Debbie D. Davis-Morris, Montez A. Davis and Shelron A. Davis; his grandchildren, DeVondria N. Chisholm, Darnell J. Maxwell, Christopher K. Morris (California), Amorie N. Martin and Nakaila A. Davis; and his great grandchild Skylar A. Poitan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
