She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward C. Alexion and Frances Wanek Alexion; and her sister Mary Alexion (Andrew Krumwiede) of Chapel Hill.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Susan's memory to Columbia University School of Business.
