He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Russell and Ann Russell; his sisters, Debbie Painter and Sue Bunting; his in-laws, Charlie and Annie Lee Tate; his sister-in-law Connie Perry; and his grandson Patrick Elijah Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Tate Russell; his children, Susanna Rogers (Andy), Peter (Amy), John Mark (Courtney), Michael (Lauren) and David Russell; and his siblings, Scott Russell (Rosie) and Laurel Russell Jeka. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
