He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his children, David and Karen; his siblings, Peter and Evelyn "Bess" Borkowski; and his close friend Frances Johnson.
He is survived by: his sister Rose Crawford of Carrboro, NC; and his sister-in-law Julie Abolila of Juno Beach, FL. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
