He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldo Clayton Cheek and Evelyn King Cheek. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Williams Cheek; his children, Clayton Williams Cheek (Jody) and Anna King Cheek (Joe Corron); his granddaughters, Addie, Mary Neal and Winnie Cheek; and his brothers-in-law, David Russell Williams (Mary Jane) and Walter Frederick Williams, Jr. (Susan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Brinkly Baptist Church (1712 Willow Dr, Chapel Hill, NC 27514).
