With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Alice Eckman (Chapel Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on November 27, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ryan and Irene Ryan; her brother Robert Ryan, Jr.; and her husband Thomas Roy Eckman. She is survived by: her children, Peter Eckman of Chapel Hill, Mary Elise Eckman of Chicago and Mary Elizabeth Knelson of Durham; her grandson Ryan Michael Dulude; and her siblings, Donald Ryan and Patricia Crane. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
