With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marjorie Elnora Oakley of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Crockett Lunsford and Ida Aurelia Alice Walters; her husband Hubert Granville Oakley, Jr.; and her brothers, Lewis, Leon and Wilmer Lunsford.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Oakley, Gary Oakley (Mike Mills) and Mike Oakley; her grandchildren, Reade Oakley (Lillian Mindich) and Olivia Oakley; and also Meg Miller. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Though covid brought her full time participation to an end, she continued as a market member until her official retirement this spring.
