She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence W. Rigsbee and Rachel Gray; her husband Woodrow Henry Barnes; and her sons, Jaffey, Larry and Clarence Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Henry "Ted" Barnes of Chapel Hill, Troy Barnes (Rose) of Chapel Hill, Frances Jordan of Chapel Hill and Diane Eubanks (Billy) of Fuquay Varina. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
